  1. Malory doesn’t remind us that Elaine was also Launcelot’s mother’s name. Why not?

    Knowing Malory, he completely forgot that Launcelot even had a mother.

  2. I have to give Launcelout some credit. As much as I dislike him for his part of the adultery with Geunever, at least he doesn’t cheat on her himself, and he’s the only knight in the story thus far who I can remember being legitimately committed to the point that they would turn down a woman throwing herself at them.
